When we add zero to any number, the number stays the same! 3 + 0 = 3 7 + 0 = 7 Zero doesn't change anything!

Count the objects Add zero to each group What do you notice? 4 + 0 = ? 6 + 0 = ? 9 + 0 = ?
Subtracting Zero is Simple Too!
When we subtract zero from any number, the number stays the same! 5 - 0 = 5 8 - 0 = 8 We're not taking anything away!
