Count with me: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Use your fingers! Clap for each number What comes after 9?
The Rainbow Way: 1 + 9 = 10
1 red dot + 9 orange dots Count them together 1 and 9 make 10! This is our first rainbow pair
Another Rainbow Pair: 2 + 8 = 10
2 yellow circles + 8 green circles Let's count together 2 and 8 make 10! Another way to make 10
Hands-On Practice: 3 + 7 = 10
Hold up 3 fingers on one hand Hold up 7 fingers with both hands Count all your fingers 3 and 7 make 10!
The Middle Pair: 4 + 6 = 10
4 purple stars + 6 pink stars Count the purple stars: 1, 2, 3, 4 Count the pink stars: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Together they make 10!
Special Pair: 5 + 5 = 10
5 and 5 are equal! Both hands have 5 fingers This is the special middle pair 5 + 5 = 10
