Lesson plan for year 10 general film music lesson. Previously during the first introductory lesson, they had a quick brainstorming session using Edupuzzle, a digital platform for instant feedback, to answer and kickstarts their thinking about how music transforms film scenes. Students have spent 2 lessons (each 50 minutes) to compose their own film soundtracks using either flat.io or bandlab. They are given 5 film clip (all around 30 seconds) that are originally silent or have no background music where they have to add music to it using bandlab. Most of them have not finished it. But it is due next lesson. Students either working on their own or in pairs. Propose some activities to continue on the topic. They are also told to write a reflective statemet on the composition around 100 words on their rationale, instruments used and effects achieved.
