What Are Music Notes?
Music notes are symbols that represent sounds They tell us which sound to play Each note has a different pitch (high or low) Notes help musicians play the same song
The Musical Staff
The staff has 5 lines and 4 spaces Notes sit on lines or in spaces It's like a ladder for music notes The staff helps us know how high or low notes are

The Treble Clef
The treble clef sits at the beginning of the staff It looks like a fancy swirl It tells us we're reading higher sounds Most melodies use the treble clef
Note Names: The Musical Alphabet
Music uses only 7 letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G After G, we start over with A again It's like a circle that never ends Every note has one of these letter names
